Create public awareness in Kern County for the newly— opened Lauren Small Children’s Medical Center at Memorial Hospital.
DMI Agency used a combination of custom and stock photography of kids doing what they like to do best – using their imaginations to become whatever they dream of being when they grow up – a fireman, a movie star, a cowboy. We created the campaign “When We See Kids” and used a series of heart-warming and compelling ads for newsprint and magazines.
Although we don’t like to talk about filling beds in pediatric hospitals, we are happy that when kids in Kern County do need comprehensive care, they know the Lauren Small Children’s Medical Center is the place to get them back to just being kids. This campaign’s success reached far beyond county lines, as well. It was awarded a Gold ADDY for creative excellence in a magazine series from the American Advertising Federation and also a National Healthcare Marketing Gold Award in the 30th Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards competition sponsored by Healthcare Marketing Report held in Atlanta, GA.
